It’s here, it’s here! After only four short days, the weekend has arrived again. What are your plans? Post work cocktails? Tapas with friends? Or that much needed takeaway and night in after that hard week? Here’s some of our suggestions of the best things to get involved in.
The Portobello Film Festival is the UK’s biggest independent film competition so you can be sure to enjoy some of the best independent films the Brits have to offer (and we do tend to be very good at them). There’s also a good range of European films…take a date and show off your film buff side. (1-18 September; 6:30-10:30pm; free; Pop-Up Cinema, 3 Acklam Road , W10 5T or Westbourne Studios, 242 Acklam Road, W10).
For the little ol’ wine drinker in you:
Gordon’s Wine Bar near Charing Cross is a favourite with the Central London crowd and for good reason too! A huge outdoor heated terrace for al fresco drinking and a low lit crypt-like interior, you’ll find this the best atmosphere in which to treat yourself to a bottle of their special wines. Fail-safe dating ground. (47 Villiers Street; WC2; 11am-11pm)
For the Club Bunnies:
Mahiki have had a busy week – entertaining for Esquire’s Best Dressed Man Awards on Wednesday and hosting the afterparty for luxury men’s mag L’altro Uomo’s celebration of their latest bi-annual issue. All about the fashion it would seem and there’s no reason why the party will stop this weekend. It’s a Click member favourite so why not swing by? (1 Dover Street; Mayfair; W1S)
For Date Night:
We are trying out something new and think it’s the perfect idea for your date night this weekend. Be one of the first to trial our latest feature, Click Together, the ideal opportunity to organise your date online. Go be active and enjoy a drink or two at a cocktail masterclass at The Covent Garden Cocktail Club. We’ve found you a great deal that’s not going to break the bank and this date will promise the all important fun factor. (6-7 Great Newport Street; WC2H)
Happy weekend all!
