The (Four Day) Hangover

Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011

So last Thursday we partied like it was 1999, only it was 2011 and Prince wasn’t there. I think he would have liked to have been though. We celebrated our 4th birthday with our beloved members and toasted to another great year of People, Parties and Places.

Click Tonight 4th Birthday

Smile, you're on Polaroid!

Throwing parties, soirees and bashes over the years has been extremely fun work indeed but we can safely say that this was one party we won’t be forgetting in a hurry. It was truly stand-out. In fact, this blog is only being written now as it’s taken a weekend of rest and a few Bloody Mary’s just to get me through the aftermath.

It all began with cocktails…then we had shots at the bar. Then the Belvedere. Next came the dancing and there was lot’s of it. We even threw in a few comedy moves for good measure. The entertainment was great as always. I adored the body-painted beauties who were taking Polaroid snaps of us and guests (I have three of them on my mirror) and the music was a great mix of classic floor-fillers and new favourites.

Cinderellas stayed at home as midnight passed us by and we were still going into the small hours. A limbo pole made a debut Click Party appearance. But why am I telling you when I can show you?? Have a look at our video slideshow and see for yourself! Thanks to all who came and for those who missed out (and you really did), make sure you come along next time.

Where Will You Be in 7 days?

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

Click Tonight 4th BirthdayYou might not know the answer yet, but we do. We think you should be coming to celebrate our birthday with us as that’s where we’ll be. Champagne, cocktails, gorgeous Click members – some new faces and some familiar – what more could you want from a Thursday night in Mayfair? A date with Pippa Middleton or Prince Harry at Boujis?? Well that’s unlikely so get yourselves down to Funky Buddha next week.

We promise to entertain you into the silly hours of Friday morning and welcome in the weekend in true ClickTonight style. Entertainment on hand and our resident DJ will keep you dancing with the best dancefloor fillers. Make sure you bring those moves like Jagger and we’ll  party like it’s 1999. Only a bit cooler.

Tickets are flying so don’t miss out and make sure you book asap! Big spenders and VIPs, those tables are waiting for you (theparty@clicktonight.com). Our guestlist is now live so you can check out who’s going. Ladies if you need a wingwoman, we’ve got you covered. Email us at wingwoman@clicktonight.com and we’ll hook you up with a party partner. And for those of you who are newbies, have a look at the photos below of our last party. It was awesome and this one will be bigger and better. Happy Birthday to us!

Complimentary cocktails will be available early doors and expect plenty of tricks and entertainment throughout the night whilst the Click team are there to make sure we all have a great time. Come blow out the candles with us, drink lot’s of champagne and toast to another year of ClickTonight.

Want to know more? Click here

Now that we’ve hit February (good riddance January!) it’s the perfect time to come out of hibernation and start making some plans. On the run up to Valentines’ Day, I’ll be telling you about the best/worst romantic restaurants, the most fun things to do and see, ideas for presents (don’t moan!) and also what you should/ should not be doing.

Firstly, you don’t HAVE to have a boyfriend/ girlfriend or even a date for that matter. If this year you’re protesting and saying “to hell with it” and refusing to go down the traditional date route, do not fret. Come and join the frolics at Funky Buddha on the 10th Feb for our “F*** Valentines” Party. Even better than that, we’ve put together a guestlist so you can check out who’s going. Maybe someone will catch your eye… Arrange to meet them in Mayfair and toast a glass of champagne to St Valentine!

Killing Cupid

Killing Cupid

Cupid has left the building

It’s getting to that time of year again…the era of Valentines’ Day. And what would the lovers’ season be without a ‘F*** Valentines’ Click party?

Well I suppose you could either be on an awkwardly romantic date in a “cosy” restaurant filled with red balloons, rose petals and not forgetting chocolate cakes baked in the shape of a hearts. Or, sat on your sofa clutching tragically at the one mandatory V.day card sent from Mum/Dad. Sigh…

If the above sounds like your idea of hell, come join us instead. Holding our annual bash @ Funky Buddha (you know where it is!), we are shunning all things romantically lame and we are going to, well, just party! Come out and play, it’s definitely not to be missed and it’s on a Thursday night…why? Because we can. It’s going to be the most fun we’ve had since laying down our Christmas gauntlet.

If you don’t believe me, have a perusal at last year’s video & snaps and for those of you who don’t already know the scoop, go here.

Your Favourite Places

Thursday, January 6th, 2011

Where are the best places to go out in London? Are you looking for a new restaurant to take a date to or the trendiest new cocktail bar? Hitting the club with your mates, or even just looking for a new watering hole? We often source out for you our favourite places we think you should know about, but for once we are leaving it up to our members to tell you about where they like to go…

The Restaurant

Beach Blanket Babylon
Beach Blanket Babylon, Shoreditch

Decorated in the style of “Boho Chic and Grand French Country Chateau”, this 150 seater restaurant is the place to go if you are looking to impress and be impressed. An opulent setting, there’s a marble bar serving Oysters and the bubbly stuff. If you’re dining from the dinner menu, opt for the grill option and go all out with Lobster and chips!

The Bar

The Jewel Covent Garden
The Jewel Covent Garden

Around the back cobble streets of Covent Garden, you will find The Jewel. Perfect for if you’re looking for some drinks in Central London and it’s very accommodating if it’s just some after work drinks, post dinner night cap or even if you’re looking for somewhere a bit lively. It’s a deceptively large venue with four separate bars, each with its own personality and atmosphere.

The Pub

The Lansdowne
The Lansdowne, Primrose Hill

Not only is this a hot favourite with Click members, it’s also one of my personal favourites. Situated in the heart of trendy location Primrose Hill, The Lansdowne is something of an institution. Easygoing and relaxed, it’s the ideal venue for a boozy Sunday lunch and a rendezvous with friends. The food is great (get the pizza!) and when the weather takes a turn for the better, have some beers outside on the benches – ideal for people watching!

The Club

funky buddha
Funky Buddha, Mayfair

There was no second guessing when it came to your favourite club. Having spent many a Click party in Mayfair’s smoothest location, it currently holds the top spot on the clubber’s list. Not ones to disappoint, we will definitely have some things planned for you in the not too distant future.

Where are your favourite places? Share them with us, post photos, write a review and tell us where you’ve been.

A Year in Parties!

Wednesday, January 5th, 2011

As we tipple over into the early days of 2011, we find ourselves revisiting the ghosts of 2010 past – dates, nights out, holidays etc. all of them each with their pleasantly (or unpleasantly) haunting presence in our memories. After all, it’s only natural to reminisce at this time of year whilst we battle out the first few days of pointless resolutions. We’ve spent many a night out in London’s hottest clubs, so we’ve decided to look back at a year in parties as we limit our resolutions to only one – to have more of them!

F*** Valentine – Just Party @ Funky Buddha
Shunning traditional Valentines’ Day fare, our most fabulous members gathered to celebrate the annual lovefest in an anti-ritual of drinking, dancing and partying! Daring and dateless was the name of the game.

Early Summer Fun Party
After what seemed like the longest Winter ever, we were more than happy to mark the beginning of Summer with our Early Summer Fun Party at Embassy. Turning up the heat until the early hours, there was no better way to welcome the season.

Black & White Party
No room for grey areas here as we applied a black & white dress code back in July. Mixing it up zebra style or staying at one end of the polar opposite, it was clear that this was a night not to be forgotten!

Viva Las Vegas
We turned London’s slickest venue, Funky Buddha into the City of Sin for one night only. We came prepared with our best pokerfaces to gamble our chances all night long.

Cocktails & Mistletoe
It was soon Christmas time and in all that was festive we celebrated with our Cocktails & Mistletoe Party. As another year came to a close, Click members partied in true style and saw out the end of 2010.

Cocktails & Mistletoe at Funky Buddha

Tuesday, November 30th, 2010

Last Thursday we toasted  the start of the holiday party season. We drank, we danced and maybe even had a kiss (or two) under the mistletoe.

Christmas cocktails were on hand early doors and were fully taken advantage of and the sexy Click models, who were of course festively painted, strutted around to the raucous tunes bashed out by our resident DJ. The champagne was flowing, we weren’t short of shennanigans and I can’t think of a better way to kick off the Christmas season! Don’t believe me? Check it out for yourself…

Where you there? See if you can spy yourself in our Facebook gallery and if you’re brave enough, go on and tag yourself and your friends!

The Perfect Party Dresses!

Wednesday, November 24th, 2010

It’s Wednesday which can mean only one thing. Little more than 24 hours standing between us and the next Click Party. Tickets, check. Table booked, check. Date? Maybe. Seeing as that’s all that taken care of, the one worry left is what on earth do I wear??

Well, seeing as the party season is getting ready to launch (mine officially starts tomorrow), it shouldn’t be too hard to find something? Wrong. It seems like the high street is full of absolute rubbish this year and I think I’ve walked into every shop about five times only to walk out again within twenty minutes in utter frustration. However, I’ve trawled and trawled and those gems of the perfect party dress are out there. These beauties are guaranteed winners – sexy, flattering and oozing with understated glamour, they are sure to raise some pulses.

First up, is this flirty number from Kate Moss’s latest collection for Topshop. A lovely minidress, it is embellished with sequin spots and the tulle skirt will look amazing on the dance floor. Black is for drama but red screams sex appeal. It’s loud, confident and this one shoulder style from River Island keeps things pretty and won’t destroy your Christmas budget.

If you have a decent budget, invest in this gold cocktail dress from Reiss. The twisted front bustier is elegant and the sweetheart neckline leaves you exposed enough to tease but not so much as to send out the wrong signals. Leopard print is huge again this season and this one from Zara is the perfect party dress. Show off your wild side! It’s belted so you are drawing attention to your waistline and the outward skirt balances it all out for you. Tip…I wore leopard print last time and it worked wonders.

Well, that’s me sorted for tomorrow night! I’ll be arriving early doors for the free cocktails – See you all there!

Meet Me Under The Mistletoe

Friday, November 12th, 2010

It must be a good thing that Autumn seems to have passed so quickly. The dark nights have found us and with Christmas just around the corner it means only one thing, the party season is here. Once again it’s time for us all to get together before the Christmas madness starts for another Click Tonight Party.

We had such a good time at Funky Buddha at the Viva Las Vegas night that we’ve decided to pay them another visit for our “Cocktails & Mistletoe” party. Join us on the 25th November for some pre-season shennanigans. We’ll mingle under the mistletoe and toast to the closing months of another year and the festivities to come.

Our resident DJ will be there along with the usual suspects to party into the small hours (even if it’s a school night!) with complimentary cocktails on hand for those that arrive early doors. Need a date? Find out who’s going beforehand and arrange to meet them there and if you fancy rocking up solo, there will be plenty of other Click members to join you in the revelry, myself included. Who knows, maybe we’ll meet under the mistletoe…
