Cupid?! Sorry Mate, Not On The Guestlist!
Thursday, February 16th, 2012The other night we hosted our infamous F**k Valentine’s Just Party event at London’s Kanaloa club, at the heart of the city. A change of venue from our usual stomping ground, Kanaloa was a welcome tropical escape from the cold snap. In our heathen homage to St Valentine we drank oversized cocktails and toasted to the unfortunates who had spent the day scrambling for the last bouquet of red roses and were now crammed into busy restaurants with set menus nobody wants to eat. Cheers to V Day!

Tiki torches, lei flower garlands and grass-skirt hula girls made our luau oahu party complete. We kicked things off nice and early by wasting no time after work and heading straight over to Kanaloa, voted the best global tiki bar. Complimentary cocktails meant our party goers were well into the swing of things by 9 p.m.
We were so impressed by your dancing skills last night fellow revellers as you stormed the dancefloor in our best dance off to date! Don’t worry we captured it all on camera. Take a look at last night’s album and you might even see yourself making shapes! If you weren’t with us last night, see what you missed out on. Until next time!
The Singles’ Guide To Surviving Valentine’s Day
Thursday, February 2nd, 2012Accursed St Valentine! A thousand plagues upon you for being the source of all this madness. The flowers, the balloons, the special lovers’ deals at every restaurant. No matter how hard you try…you. just. can’t. escape. As the last bastion of your single friends scramble to find last minute dates, you might be forgiven for condemning the whole horrid event. Here’s a handful of things you won’t hate getting caught up in and you won’t be stuck at home on Valentine’s Day. Who knows, you might even fall back in love with the holiday.
Come and party with us

Don’t you dare stay at home! Where there’s a will there’s a good party to go. Bring your friends or if you’re a single lady, use our wingwoman service to find a party partner (email wingwoman@clicktonight.com for more info). Join us at new venue Kanaloa for a night that promises to blow all our previous parties out of the water. Complimentary cocktails for those who get here early. Book your tickets quickly as we’re selling out and for guestlist/ table reservations email theparty@clicktonight.com.
F**k Valentine’s- Just Party @ Kanaloa, 18 Lime Office Court EC4A
Go see a movie

This may seem a very mediocre option but what better way to escape Valentine’s Day by escaping to another world. With Oscars season on the horizon, there is a flurry of amazing movies showing on the silver screen. Michael Fassbender, Keira Knightley & Viggo Mortensen star in the Freudian drama A Dangerous Method and the critics can’t stop talking about it. Arm yourself with Häagen-Dazs and immerse yourself in someone else’s story.
Cocktail Hour

Grab an ally and head to Mishkin’s in Covent Garden for some reasonably priced cocktails in one of our new favourite hangouts. They pride themselves as a “kind of Jewish deli with cocktails” and their quirky American diner style interior coupled with a glass of prosecco and a plate of ground beef and green peppercorn meatballs will make you forget all about…who cares? Can’t remember. If this isn’t your part of town, check out our Places Page where our savvy members have reviewed the best bars.
Mishkin, 25 Catherine Street WC2B
Bowl Your Blues Away

There are few things more distracting than getting active and whether you’re a natural or embarrassingly awful, you’re guaranteed to enjoy the retro-style bowling at All Star Lanes. American Diner, cocktail bar and more stylish than average bowling shoes will mean you’re more than occupied. No excuses for Valentine’s Day misery.
All Star Bowling Lanes: Brick Lane, Holborn, Bayswater, Stratford City
Dancing With Myself

Dance the night away at Brazilian hotspot Floripa where Adriano Trindade plays live classic Samba and Samba Rock on Valentine’s Day. Take a gang down there prepared to storm the dancefloor or go solo and salsa into someone’s arms!
Floripa, 91-93 Great Eastern St, EC2A
Get the Green Light

Ok so it is a traffic light party BUT this is a much more classy affair. Proud Camden are hosting and you can expect their usual antics. Live music and some fun games to keep you entertained until the small hours of the morning.
Proud Camden, The Stables, Camden NW1
Enjoy fellow singletons!

An escape from cold dreary London, we’re having a Luau Oahu complete with tiki torches, lei flower garlands and limbo. It promises to be an absolutely brilliant evening! We’re kicking things off an earlier time than usual at 6.30p.m so make sure you’re ready to party straight from work.
Voted the best global Tiki bar and Mahiki’s sister venue, Kanaloa is renowned for being one of the best nights out in the City and their special cocktails are famous in their own right. 2. Romantic option: London Eye
A lovely option for a Valentines’ Date though it might seem quite contrived, the set up at the London Eye is quite impressive. Expect champagne, parmesan hearts and chocolate covered strawberries. Canapes, champagne and a breathtaking view of London at night will score highly on the romance factor.
London Eye, tickets available through website.
3. Semi-romantic option: The Pleasure Garden Ball
Go with a date or take a group of friends to this traditional English pastime hosted by the Museum of London. This experience promises something truly different with lots of dancing, drinking and Georgian nostalgia. Risque poetry, 18th century bands. A trip back in time anyone?
The Pleasure Garden Ball, The Museum of London, 6.45 pm – 9.45 pm, tickets available through website.
4. Uber-romantic option: A Night With The Stars
Remember that episode of Friends from ages ago when Ross famously seduced Rachel at the Planetarium? How romantic and amazing was that?! The Royal Observatory presents A Night With The Stars where you can spend the evening star-gazing and knocking back champagne. Look through the telescope and show off your (newly learned) knowledge of the constellations.
Royal Museums Greenwich, Romney Rd, SE10 9NF, Shows at 5.25pm, 5.30pm, 6.45pm, 6.50pm.
5. Hot date option: Zuma
Love Japanese food? Zuma in Knightsbridge will not disappoint. A seriously sexy restaurant with a stellar menu that includes top dishes like the crispy fried squid with green chilli and salt, you can’t go wrong with this as a hot date option for this Valentine’s Day. With a huge list of celebrity frequenters, you will need to book in advance.
Zuma, 5 Raphael Street SW7 1D.
6. Lonesome option: Valentine’s What?!
Not feeling the love this year but still want a good evening out and some delicious food? A jazzed up take on the classic Spanish tapas bar, Barrafina has a no reservations policy and you won’t be left sitting alone as you are seated alongside your fellow diners. Chefs are chatty and guide you through their best dishes and then you get to watch them work their magic.
Barrafina, 54 Frith Street W1D 4SL.
7. Cosy option: Cuddle Me By The Fire
Spend the evening cosying up with your date in a traditional English pub with a good bottle of red wine. The Spaniard’s Inn on Hampstead Heath is a pub famed for its history with the illustrious Dick Turpin and Charles Dickens. “A country pub in the city”, it has a huge beer garden, great food and was listed by the Telegraph in the Top 100 pubs in the UK.
The Spaniard’s Inn, Spaniards Road, Hampstead, NW3 7JJ.
8. The Spoil Me option: Valentine’s Day Pamper
Score highly on Valentine’s Day points by booking you and your date in for a couples’ massage at a luxury spa in Notting Hill. Get massaged at the same time by two experienced therapists. 55 minutes of bliss at the Savana Urban Spa will be the perfect start to your evening.
Savana Urban Spa, 45 Hereford Road, Notting Hill, W2 5AH.
9. For the lovers option: A View From A Bridge
Whenever we ask what have been your most memorable dates, the same answers keep coming back. That magical evening spent walking around the sights of London and taking in the views etc. etc. On Valentine’s Day, Tower Bridge will be sparkle with lights and be adorned with flowers as you stroll hand in hand through the famous walkways. Last year’s event was successful with a record 15 marriage proposals taking place on that night!
Tower Bridge, London, tickets available through website
10. The let’s get drunk and forget about the whole thing option:
If you’re not coming to our F**k Valentine’s Party (shame on you!), get a few friends together and hit one of London’s trendiest cocktail bars. Callooh Callay is a Narnia-esque bar where you can disappear for a few hours. A quirky and curious playground for the Shoreditch drinking ground, lose yourself this Valentine’s Day.
Callooh Callay, 65 Rivington Street, EC2
Cocktails & Mistletoe Party (Yes It’s Here Again!)
Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011The much anticipated party season kicks off at different points for everyone. Maybe it’s the birthday party that’s just close enough to Christmas when everyone wants to get together and blow off steam. It could be the moment the Christmas lights are switched on (earlier and earlier every year!) or even when the Coca Cola advert is first witnessed. For me, it’s the Cocktails & Mistletoe Click Tonight party.
Perfectly timed with the dark evenings, the end of November is the point at which I’m ready for a party. I’ve been mourning Summer since September buried it, now I’m ready to embrace Winter with a sequin dress and armed with a cocktail (complimentary as usual!). I’ve rounded up the girls and I’m hoping to meet a nice boy (or two) to take me out and keep me warm during the cold months!
Doors are opening at 9p.m and I’m joining the other Click Tonight members at our favourite spot, Funky Buddha in Mayfair. Tickets are £15 and there’s still some tables left if you want the true VIP service (book quickly as apparently they are selling quickly). Special entertainment that you’ll love as well as friendly hosts and a great crowd. If it’s anything like the last party, I’ll still be nursing a bad head (full of great memories!) well into the weekend. Enjoy and look out for the mistletoe!
Want to see who’s going? Check out the crowd before you go with our online guestlist. If you want to see last year’s antics, cast your eyes on this…

The Charm Offensive
Thursday, September 15th, 2011It’s hard to talk to women. Fact. If it were easy there wouldn’t be reams and reams of information unearthing the mysteries between men and women, helping us to understand the many complexities arising from communication with the fairer sex. Sometimes what you want to say doesn’t come out right or you feel like it isn’t the right time or place. Pick up lines are kids’ stuff, what is hard is connecting with women on any real level. You’re not alone and we are going to help.
We are offering our Click members a very special opportunity to meet with Adam, an authority on the rules of attraction and interaction. Attraction Anytime Anywhere is his highly successful philosophy on how to meet and date women in today’s fast and furious world.
We have worked with BMG connections and their charming founder for some time and we cannot keep him to ourselves any longer. His advice is golden and trust us, we’ve put him to the test on his principles and monitored his techniques. After all, no teacher is worth his salt if he can’t demonstrate his lessons.
Along with Adam’s team, we will be hosting this special event on the 27th September at the Mayfair Hotel. Come along and meet with us and discover things about women you never knew. The information is invaluable and we are offering it to you at the amazing rate of just £10. It’s a deal, it’s a steal, it’s the sale of the century! Open to our members and friends, come along and join us between 18.30 and 23.00.
Here’s what others had to say about Adam’s philosophy.
“Brilliant the way the topic was brought together and then applied with a relatively narrow focus. I particularly enjoyed Adam’s energy and passion for the subject.” -Hal
“I was sceptical about turning up. I put my pride to one side and realised that to get better at anything I had to reach beyond myself and learn from others. Its not a magic trick but it feels like one. Thank you Adam.” -Johno
“I was fine at meeting women but just felt I didn’t meet the right kind of quality women in my life. I have always had the attitude of gaining information quickly from people that know and oh my god, Adam knows. Keep up the good work.” - Phillip
“No one likes admitting to others that they need a little help. But I thought, stop worrying about what others might think and just do it. The hardest decision I ever made was turning up to the event but also the best decision I ever made. Adam, you’re a gem amongst men.” -Tom
For more information on Attraction Anytime Anywhere go here. Book your tickets now at the great price of £10 as there’s limited availability and you don’t want to miss out!
The (Four Day) Hangover
Tuesday, August 2nd, 2011So last Thursday we partied like it was 1999, only it was 2011 and Prince wasn’t there. I think he would have liked to have been though. We celebrated our 4th birthday with our beloved members and toasted to another great year of People, Parties and Places.
Throwing parties, soirees and bashes over the years has been extremely fun work indeed but we can safely say that this was one party we won’t be forgetting in a hurry. It was truly stand-out. In fact, this blog is only being written now as it’s taken a weekend of rest and a few Bloody Mary’s just to get me through the aftermath.
It all began with cocktails…then we had shots at the bar. Then the Belvedere. Next came the dancing and there was lot’s of it. We even threw in a few comedy moves for good measure. The entertainment was great as always. I adored the body-painted beauties who were taking Polaroid snaps of us and guests (I have three of them on my mirror) and the music was a great mix of classic floor-fillers and new favourites.
Cinderellas stayed at home as midnight passed us by and we were still going into the small hours. A limbo pole made a debut Click Party appearance. But why am I telling you when I can show you?? Have a look at our video slideshow and see for yourself! Thanks to all who came and for those who missed out (and you really did), make sure you come along next time.
